Beware of Scams

By staying vigilant and taking proper precautions, you can help protect yourself from falling victim to a water utility scam. Always check for proper identification or call the Kinneloa Irrigation District to verify any suspicious activity.

Soliciting Payment Over the Phone

Kinneloa Irrigation District does not accept payment information over the phone and will never call demanding credit card payment information over the phone. If you receive such a call, it is a scam.

Soliciting  for Water Quality Testing

Residents are advised to maintain vigilance for impostor water agency "workers" knocking on doors, purporting to test water quality inside the home or collect payment. KID operators do not perform water sampling inside customer homes.

Soliciting  Entry into Home

K.I.D. employees consistently adhere to uniformed attire, possess an ID card, and operate clearly marked vehicles; residents should exercise caution regarding individuals lacking appropriate credentials seeking entry into homes or soliciting personal information. KID operators do not ever enter customer homes.
