Dove Creek Service Area Remains under Do Not Drink Advisory

Date: 1/21/2025

Dear Residents of the Dove Creek Townhome Community,

On January 8th, water service to the entire Dove Creek community was shut off due to extensive damage and hazardous conditions caused by the Eaton Fire. Today, January 21st, the Do Not Drink Order continues to remain in effect for the Dove Creek service area. The District has posted the Do Not Drink notice on the billboard at the mailbox and on every door of every undamaged property. See attached notice.

As of today, the District has restored water to the Dove Creek area, however, we have turned off all individual water meters to prevent damage to unoccupied homes. Residents of undamaged or minimally damaged homes must contact the District at gm@kidwater.info or call the office to request water activation. Our operators will turn on the meter, check for leaks, and deliver a case of bottled water. Additional bottled water is available upon request.

For all destroyed homes, accounts will be automatically terminated. No action is required from these residents.

Water restoration to the 16 undamaged or minimally damaged homes is our priority. Once we successfully re-pressurize the system, water will be restored with a Do Not Drink/Do Not Boil Order in effect for at least 10 days, pending testing and compliance.

Visit www.kidwater.info for the latest updates.

Thank you for your cooperation as we work to safely restore water service to this area.
